Accurate fuel measurement and delivery
One problem that i have seen in every mission that i have been to is linked to the purchasing and then consumption of fuel. This seems to be mainly linked to poor quality measuring equipment both from our side and the suppiers side.
My proposal is based on weight and not volume, after some research of weight cells an affordable system can be assembled to show the weight of the fuel delivered/consumed. The display is then calibrated to display litiers.

A bit more details: From what i have seen, having markings on large tanks are prone to inaccuracies and I am yet to see a flow fuel meter that is able to hold its accuracy or longevity.
Industrial weight cells are designed to be used in these sorts of environments and after talking to some suppliers a full tank of 12 tons would have an accuracy of around +-1.5kg (less than 2L of diesel).
When a fuel supplier arrived you could check the accuracy of the scale by filling a 10L bucket and then pouring it into the tank.
The same system can also be used for monitoring how much fuel was pumped out to a generator/car/drum, whereas if you used a flow meter for the incoming fuel you would need to have a new one for the outgoing fuel.
After thinking about this a bit more i see that it is maybe not directly linked to environmental impact, so please remove if not relevant :) But it could be argued that it would give more accurate follow up for each generator and therefore a better understanding of the loads and consumptions. :)
