Hi Harmonie, you are absolutely right. Air travel is usually a significant part of a humanitarian organisation's footprint.
Here is a list of questions to ask before a trip :
- Can the trip be avoided (video conferencing)?
- Can the trip be made by any means other than by plane?
(possibility of prohibiting air travel for travel by air for journeys of less than 1000 km)
- Can flight routes be optimised? (possibility to choose non-stop or as few as possible and avoid low cost routing).
