Generators are identified as one of the main sources of green house gas in MSF projects. Yet with current photovoltaic and battery technology it is possible to generate and store electricity efficiently and at a low cost. An initiative to quickly replace generators in suitable long-term and stable MSF projects by renewable energy sources can have a large positive impact. If needed they can be complemented by a back up generator that should be running only exceptionally.

Solar batteries create much pollution at the moment of their production. It is not that much ecological solution.
